Too Many Angels

I have so many angels

That my angels have angels

And those angels have angels too

I don't think that we can have too many angels

Or angels with angels

Do you?

I truly believe in my angels

And my angels believe in me too

I hope you believe in your angels

Because your angels believe in you

And we have so many angels

That our angels have angels

And those angels have angels too

I don't think that we can have too many angels

Or angels with angels

Do you?

For my darling Aunt Helen and, of course, for The Angels

Note:  You can have as many angels as you desire with you at all times.

They have no physical boundaries.  Angels can be with everyone at the same time.

                    REACH

When this life has got you down
Reach for a better feeling thought

When you can't get past a frown

Reach for a better feeling thought

When you're feeling broke or blue
When you're feeling less than new
When the World's upsetting you
Reach for a better feeling thought

You needn't make a quantum leap
One tiny reach will do
That slightly better feeling
Might make you reach for two

Then why not three or four or more?
They are habit forming, it's true
Those higher heart vibrations
Will help you feel like new

Lower vibrations can pull you down
And weigh heavy on your soul
You can pull yourself back up
The instant that you know
You can reach for a better feeling thought

When confronted by someone's anger
Instead of lashing back

Remember this is not your mood
And try not to react

There is not a situation

That cannot be improved
By clear intention and a reach

There's nothing you can't do

Think of where you want to be
As if you have arrived
Successful people are the ones

Who keep their dreams alive

They reach!... So reach!... Just reach!

To Abraham with Heartitude.

Thank you to Esther and Jerry Hicks

          Heartitude

When an attitude of gratitude
Meets heart energy from you

That truly remarkable feeling

Is known as Heartitude

Once you achieve Heartitude
No other feeling will do

You'll want to return again and again
It brings out the best in you

Heartitude helps you rise above
Lower feelings to a place of love

When you reach for Heartitude
You touch the face of God

     Mentor Mine

In honor of H.F. Edwards, Ph.D.

Surely in another life

He must have been a King

Or perhaps a shining Knight

Upon his noble steed

This time ‘round, he teaches

A mentor tried and true

And when your soul he reaches

His wisdom stays with you

Of all the wondrous lessons

He did impart to me

One came with a vengeance

It was simple, short and sweet

This message was quite different

Not in his English of Kings

He said: "SHUT UP AND LISTEN!“

"YOU MIGHT LEARN SOMETHING!"

His words of eloquent thunder

Rang sudden, clear and true

I wasn't even talking

I was startled and confused

Three decades have passed since then

His words remain with me

And, as I truly listen

I know just what they mean

Mentor mine knew all the time

That I would find my way

To the place of truth and light

That fills my heart today

     9 is 9

9 is 9 is 9 is 9

To infinity

It is the coolest number

There will ever be

9 is 9 is 9 is 9

Check it out and see

7 times 9 is 63

And what is 6 plus 3?

9 is 9 is 9 is 9

It happens every time!

9 times any number

Will add right back to 9

9 times 6 is 54

5 plus 4

Need I say more?

Which number do I adore?

9 is 9 is 9

     Best Friend

My best friend will never judge

She loves me as I am

My best friend takes all in stride

She always understands

Even when I can't decide

She tells me that I can

Life is oh so lovely

When you are your own best friend

          Not My Size

Do not thrust your mood on me

Do not even try

Angry words do not fit me

They are not my size

Choose the darkness if you must

I will choose the light

I refuse to wear your mood

It is not my size

I will not take personally

Words designed to upset me

I will choose to let them be

Forever not my size

What You Do

How is it that you

Know what to do

When no one has shown

Or even taught you?

Yet here you are

Without a clue

Doing what you

Don’t know how to do

Call it intuition

Call it a hunch

Say it’s the Angels

I'll take a bunch!

Maybe it is deja vu

A genetic imprint

Or past life coming through

Telepathy, osmosis

A Spirit Guide or two

A psychic connection

A dead loved one

Helping you

Maybe it’s simply

That no one told you

That you Don't know how

To do what you do

The answer is quite likely

All of the above

The thing that really matters

Is you’re doing it with love

               Free Will

As you stumble your way through life

There’s one thing you should know

You have free will to do what you like

Even to stub your big toe

We are all here to learn lessons

God will guide you if you allow

He will not come against your will

You have total control of “now”

Even his glorious Angels

Will not come against your free will

They are pure love. They do not judge

If you ask for help, they will

Fear can trip you up, my friend

Love will light the way

The things you focus most upon

Grow larger every day

We all walk shoulder to shoulder

You are neither less nor more

What you give will be returned

Only you can open the door

So, quiet your mind’s endless chatter

Your breath is a good place to start

Surround yourself in God’s white light

Breathe deep, and follow your heart

          Light Worker

The World knows that you really care

Things are better because you are there

Strangers open their hearts to you

Drawn by the healing light you produce

The beautiful ripple your light creates

Leaves positive feelings in its wake

This is no accident or mistake

You're a Light Worker, for Heaven’s sake!

          Believe

No matter what you think or say

God will love you anyway

But, do you love yourself today?

Believe and it is so

Everything you think or say

Affects your life in every way

You can change your life today

Believe and it is so

Good thoughts bring good things your way

Negative thoughts drive good away

Your inner voice has much to say

Believe and it is so

Respect and honor life, my friend

What you give comes back again

Teach your mind to say “I can”

Believe and it is so

No matter what you think or say

God will love you anyway

His love is here to light the way

Believe and it is so

          Worries

Don’t waste your time on worries

They constipate your brain

Life lived in fear is no life

And worries are to blame

We are eternal beings

This life is but a blink

That ultimate burning question

Is simpler than you think

No question goes unanswered

No mystery unsolved

Life’s problems pass much faster

When you trade your fear for love

Where is the joy in what you do?

Within you is the power

While you are here, enjoy the view

And stop to smell the flowers

Share the flowers with a friend

And don’t try to figure him out

Controlling other people

Is not what life’s about

All you ever want to know

Will be revealed to you

When at last you do go home

No worries ... God loves you!

     "The House of Miracles"

At age fourteen, I went to see

A place where they knew Christ personally

Their “sermon” did not call to my heart

And I decided to depart

“If you leave now you will burn in hell”

They shouted after me

“Bullshit!” was my earnest reply

As I stared their “Leader” in the eye

“You know nothing of my Christ!

HE IS ALWAYS WITH ME.”

I have never had a moment’s doubt

That Christ is always with me

I am a spark of all that was, is now, and ever shall be

I do not need to be coerced into sharing my beliefs

My actions, I pray, do show the World

That God’s Light shines within me

Those who truly ARE the Light

Do not need to preach

Actions speak much louder than words

I AM the Light within me

I do not profess to know your heart

Nor to tell you what it should be

WE are sparks of all that was, is now, and ever shall be

Amen

Church Clothes

God doesn’t care

What we wear

That’s why we’re all born naked

We are born

Fully adorned

In all His finest graces

          Anger

Mood swings like the Grand Canyon

Rocky, deep and wide

I pray you don’t hit bottom

Before you reach the other side

Feathers will remind you

To let your Spirits soar

High above the anger

Until it is no more

The Rainbow’s Treasure

© Sharon Elaine Porter

November, 2004

Jess and Zach had an argument one rainy, sunny day. Jess started wearing Zach‘s bad mood, when he really only wanted to play. Even though he had brought that bad mood, Zach left in a huff. Wearing other people’s moods can get pretty rough.

Then as Jess began to cry, he heard a voice say “look to the sky.” He looked overhead, to the left and the right. He saw a most remarkable sight...  A beautiful rainbow, shiny and bright, and a real live Leprechaun!

Jess tackled the Leprechaun in one swoop and they fell to the ground with a THUD. “Caught you!” Jess exclaimed, amazed. “Now give me your pot of gold!”

The Leprechaun vanished and re-appeared a few short steps away. “I allowed you to catch me, Lad!  Please hear what I have to say!  This treasure shines far brighter than gold will ever shine. The bright white light of love appears when the rainbow’s colors combine. You cannot always see it, but  it's with you all the time."

"Picture a rainbow in your mind and wrap it around you any time you wish to feel the presence of pure love. Wrap it around a friend or two. Wrap it around anyone who seeks relief from anger, sorrow or pain.“

Jess envisioned a rainbow and put it on. He felt the love, and he knew that everything the Leprechaun had told him was the truth.

Jess‘ friend Zach had seen it all. He hadn’t gone far away. He wrapped himself in a rainbow, too, and I heard him say: “I will choose a rainbow over a bad mood any day.”

The Leprechaun says you needn’t “catch” him on a rainy, sunny day. “Share your best and brightest rainbow with someone today!”

(Rainbow's Treasure was written as a children's story contest entry, and was limited to 300 words.  Thank you to Betty and John for encouraging me to write this little gem.)

               Vanilla

Deeply intricate poetry maze

Brimming with passion, angst and rage

Twisting and turning the reader’s mind

Leaving some torn and left behind

Mother told me with a wink

To savor works such as these

Smile politely as you think

“Make mine Vanilla, please!”

Thanks for visiting Too Many Angels!

Please remember always that the angels can be with everyone on Earth

at the same time.  They do not have the physical limitations that we

humans have.  You are never bothering your angels by asking them for

help.  Ask, Ask, Ask!   ... Give your problems to them, but don't "tell"

them how to fix the situation.  Just let go and let God.  They are His

special helpers.

Treat yourself with respect, and it will ripple out to others.
